Scholarships To Further Your Education

Create More Music aims to provide teachers with resources they need to succeed. Financial scholarships are available to teachers attending an accredited university music program or obtaining a specialized music teaching certification through an accepted, accredited private organization. After successfully reaching specific criteria and milestones at Create More Music and maintaining exceptional school performance results, scholarship distributions will be made in a predetermined amount directly to the education organization of record.

Scholarship Criteria & Milestones

In order to qualify for a music teacher scholarship, teachers must maintain 85% or greater consistency rate* for three consecutive quarters, 90% or greater overall continuation rate*, and a minimum of 120 hours taught.

Do I have to work with Create More to be eligible?

Yes, it is required to work with Create More Music for scholarship eligibility.

What are the requirements for eligibility?

There are three requirements from Create More Music: 1) 85% or greater consistency rate* for 3 straight quarters, 2) 90% or greater continuation rate, and 3) minimum 120 hours taught. There may be additional unique requirements from your school.

Are there restrictions on eligible schools or programs?

Yes. Scholarships are eligible for accredited colleges and universities as well as specific recognized educational programs. Please inquire within regarding your specific situation.

How do the funds get distributed?

This may depend on the institution or program of attendance. Please reach out regarding your specific situation.

How much is the scholarship?

The scholarship amount awarded will be at the discretion of Create More Music. Scholarships amounts from Create More Music may fall between $100 – $1200.

Will I be taxed on the scholarship?

Scholarship awards are reported to the IRS. Please consult with a tax professional for the steps required at tax time.

Can I use the money for other things besides school?

In many instances, scholarship awards will be distributed directly to the college or university. In some instances, the award may be sent directly to the recipient to be used at their discretion.

How soon will I see the funds dispersed?

The distribution timeline may depend on satisfying all requirements and how quickly Create More Music has received requisite, satisfactory information from the school.
