Referrals
Create More Music Studios appreciates your business. We will provide you with a referral discount for each newly enrolled student you refer. Please inquire for more details. To ensure that you receive your credit, please email us the name of the student you referred to learn@createmoremusic.com .
Scheduling/Lesson Time Slots
Private lessons are offered in weekly 30, 45, and 60-minute lengths. Students must coordinate lesson time slots with their music instructor.
If the student wishes to take a break from lessons, they are required to notify their teacher 3 weeks prior to the break. Upon returning from the break, lesson time slots cannot be guaranteed to the student and will be determined by the teacher’s availability.
To terminate lessons, students are required to notify Create More Music Studios 30 days prior to cancelling lessons. Failure to do so will result in a $25 cancellation fee.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Students must provide a 24-hour notification prior to cancelling or rescheduling a lesson. If the teacher does not receive a notification, the student will be billed for the lesson, however, Create More Music Studios understands that emergencies happen and will assess each case individually. Make-up lessons will be provided to students should the teacher miss a lesson due to illness or emergencies.
Payment Policy & Lesson Fees
Lessons are billed retroactively. Clients will receive an invoice on the 1st of every month for the previous calendar month. Payments are due on the 10th of the month. Clients may pay with cash or check. Checks should be made out to Create More Music Studios, LLC. Refunded checks will result in a $30 fee. Late payments will result in a $10 penalty fee up to the 15th of the month and $3 per day for each additional day that the payment is late. Overdue invoices will result in a suspension of lessons.
All billing questions can be directed to Faiza Alam at learn@createmoremusic.com or 703-229-7500.
Substitute Teachers
In order to ensure that our students receive an uninterrupted education, Create More Music Studios reserves the right to assign students a substitute teacher due to teacher vacations, illnesses and/or turnovers.
Equipment & Learning Materials
Students are expected to own or rent their own instruments so they may practice their repertoire and lesson assignments at home between lessons. Additionally students will be required to purchase learning materials, accessories and instrument care equipment. Feel free to ask your teacher for advice when purchasing any instruments, learning materials, and/or equipment.
Practicing
Practice makes perfect! Practicing is essential to learning any instrument. Students are expected to practice their repertoire and assignments between lessons in order to ensure progress in their learning. Consistent practice for shorter durations over many days is more effective then sporadic practice over 1-2 days for longer periods of time. In other words, practicing 30 minutes 5-7 days a week is more effective then practicing for an hour 1-3 days a week.
