Chris Troiano Euphonium, Trombone, Tuba, Low Brass
Christopher Troiano is currently attending George Mason University where he is earning a master's degree in Euphonium Performance with Professor Mark Jenkins, current principal euphonium in the “President’s Own” United States Marine Band. Chris earned a BM in Music Education and Euphonium Performance from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. While at North Texas, Chris was a student of euphonium virtuoso Dr. Brian L. Bowman. Other teachers of Chris’ include Patrick Nyren and Donald Sherman.
Chris has had the opportunity to perform with numerous collegiate ensembles, including the North Texas Symphonic Band under Professor Dennis Fisher, the North Texas Euphonium Choir under Dr. Brian Bowman, the George Mason Wind Symphony under Professor Mark Camphouse, the George Mason Symphony Orchestra under Dr. Dennis Layendecker, and numerous small ensembles including tuba quartets, brass ensembles, and mixed chamber ensembles. As a featured soloist, Chris has performed a number of solos with the Huntington Community Band in Huntington, NY. Chris has also had the opportunity to solo at the annual United States Army TubaEuphonium Workshop in Washington DC with the George Mason University TubaEuphonium Ensemble. Chris Troiano is committed to teaching, sharing, and spreading the wonderful sound of low brass instruments.
